Our Event Management Meetings team in Event Solutions, is seeking an Account Manager - Delivery to join the team.
We work a hybrid model (3 days in the office and 2 days work from home); this position is located in our Minneapolis Metro headquarters.

When it comes to the big picture, here is what you can expect:
You'll embrace and lead change to increase program effectiveness and better serve customers. You'll gather, set, and manage expectations, give clear direction, and hold team members accountable for responsibilities and timelines. You'll proactively lead and foster a collaborative strategic customer account team to ensure our solutions produce desired results for our client. You'll produce detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle. You'll be an advocate for customers within BIW. You'll embrace and lead change to increase program effectiveness and better serve the client. You'll drive growth on the account and programs. You'll travel to worldwide destinations for site inspections and/or event operation, as necessary (about 15% of time).
Your Skills And Abilities
You're clear, concise, and confident--whether it's via email, in-person, or over the phone. You build and maintain strong relationships (there are some wicked awesome people here). You use proven project management methods and tools to implement programs on time and on budget. You can prioritize and manage programs, and responsibilities effectively. You inspire account team members to always meet their commitments while maintaining quality. You are an active listener and can translate input into action to avoid potential issues and solve problems effectively. You apply critical thinking, resourcefulness, and leadership to the account team. And of course... you handle problems and challenging customer situations in a calm, cool, and professional manner.
Your Credentials
A Bachelor's degree is required; Event Management, Hospitality or related field preferred. 3+ years planning conferences in a client-facing role. Previous experience planning International travel; highly preferred. Experience with PowerPoint for presentations.

Work with your implementation team to generate an agenda for your weekly client call. Review timelines and remind the team that a specific deliverable is due by EOD. Send a recognition to that super helpful team member for their support yesterday. Follow up with that client who wants to talk 1-on-1 about some new direction she has regarding her awards evening. Plan the menu for the welcome night reception and select fun dcor items that enhance the overall evening theme. Review transportation, entertainment and activity choices with preferred suppliers and negotiate final pricing. Collaborate with business units in an implementation meeting where you ask smart questions to integrate solutions for the team. Review with client an updated budget that reflects all the great decisions made throughout the life of the event. Jump for joy when the deliverable you were asking for is in your inbox. You review for accuracy and it looks good; you send on to client while happy dancing. High five the Account Manager you sit next to and look forward to doing something new and different again tomorrow.

Base Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, and skills.
