is seeking a full-time
Activity Director
to join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen careers. The
Activity Director
will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents. Responsibilities
Develops, maintains, and coordinates a monthly program of events and programs Establishes and maintains ongoing contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations, and other useful resources for program development. Recruits plan and manage volunteer opportunities for the community Manages, trains, and develops staff and volunteers Makes marketing presentations for community outreach efforts Works with marketing to assist in the planning of community/resident events Coordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyle One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and the public Qualifications
The Activity Director must be an occupational therapist or therapy assistant, or therapeutic recreation specialist; or a certified activity director. At least two years of related experience A college degree strongly preferred.
