Your Future Team

The Data Analyst Sr. Associate (DA) will be a member of the Data Operations and Controls team and contribute to Hightower’s system of record data-related initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data quality and the role it plays in the data lifecycle. The Data Analyst must have extensive data analysis, query development, data normalization, and development skills. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with data engineering, data analysts, data governance and peer team members.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis:

Develop queries and analyze results

Support daily operations of centralized, consolidated system of record master data systems and data repositories (e.g., Regulatory System of Records, Security Master, etc.)

Define, monitor and report on data quality metrics

Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing

Analyze large volumes of data for pattern identification and derive data quality rules

Identify, document, and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues

Validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across different systems and applications

Work closely with data operations and controls team, business analyst and data engineering to understand requirements

Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions

Collaborate in the creation of repeatable processes and continuous improvements

Data Quality Remediation:

Responsible for daily operations of centralized, consolidated master data management systems and data repositories (e.g., Regulatory System of Records, Security Master, etc.)

Identify and champion of process improvements to enable efficiencies and effectiveness of services to internal consumers

Understand end-to-end data flow, production and usage across the firm

Manage system of record data exceptions and engage respective business owner for resolution.

Team Player:

Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively

Actively participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions

Share suggestions to continuously improve data quality methodology

Technology partnership:

Participate in the creation of data standards and data quality tool implementation

Work closely with data warehouse team to ensure efficient data integration across various systems and platforms

Collaborate with external partners and vendors to optimize data-related tools and services

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, Finance, or related field

5+ years of experience in data quality and data analysis

Strong Snowflake, SQL development skills and Excel skills

Proficiency in Profisee a plus

Tableau or Power BI development skills a plus

Understanding of data frameworks, data architecture, data analytics, and data security practices

An functional knowledge of logical and physical metadata

Proficiency in data management tools (Collibra, Atacama, Informatica…), databases, and relevant technologies

Compensation:$100–$120 per hour, commensurate with experience.
