At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $200,860 - $266,081.20. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria. Senior Director-Quality – Key Responsibilities Quality Strategy: Develop and execute a global strategic roadmap for quality initiatives, aligning organizational goals with customer satisfaction metrics. Leverage customer feedback to influence company-wide quality objectives. Manufacturing Quality Engineering: Global alignment and improvement of inspection and quality management across all manufacturing locations and value streams. Cross-Functional Quality Leadership: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate customer requirements into product and process design. Ensure cross-functional alignment on quality standards and deliverables. Customer Escalation and Resolution: Oversee the resolution of critical customer quality issues, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions. Lead high-visibility projects to address systemic quality challenges and foster trust with key stakeholders. Supplier Quality Global Leadership: Align S&C activities to industry best practices to reduce supplier PPM. Design Quality Engineering Leadership & Alignment: Develop and oversee the implementation of quality in product designs, ensuring the application of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), including CTQ features in alignment with standards and customer requirements. Quality Metrics and Continuous Feedback: Implement robust mechanisms for capturing and analyzing customer quality data, including satisfaction surveys and product health metrics. Translate insights into actionable strategies for improvement. Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in Quality Engineering staying abreast of industry best practices, standards, and technological advancements. Root-Cause Analysis: Lead a systematic problem-solving process to identify root causes of quality issues and implement countermeasures. Continuous Improvement: Analyze quality feedback and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Set team targets for KPIs and collaborate with production groups to improve quality and efficiency. QA System Support: Manage documentation of quality processes and ensure alignment with compliance requirements. Provide guidance for regular reviews and updates of the quality management system. Leadership & People Management: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team; manage recruitment, performance reviews, and succession planning; foster an inclusive culture. Thought Leadership: Provide global thought leadership to the quality assurance team and ensure alignment with S&C goals. Compliance: Understand and comply with applicable content standards, brand guidelines, company policies, and rules. What You’ll Need To Succeed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in customer-facing quality leadership or related role in manufacturing or electrical industry. Understanding of CRM systems and their integration with quality frameworks. Experience with project management methodologies. Knowledge of customer satisfaction measurement tools and metrics. Experience managing complex customer escalations and negotiations. Familiarity with regulatory standards affecting quality. Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in quality assurance. Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities. Leadership skills to guide and develop teams; promote inclusion and integrity. Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to liaise with stakeholders outside quality function. Financial acumen to manage budget resources; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI. Preferred Master’s degree in Engineering or related field Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt CQE/CMQ or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Experience in a large B2B manufacturing company PMP certification S&C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
