Inova Center for Personalized Health is looking for a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the team. This role is Full-time Day Shift: MondayFriday. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Responsibilities
Explains procedures to patients and families and answers questions to ease anxiety and ensure patient cooperation. Assists the physician in performing a variety of examinations by using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques. Demonstrates proper technique for injection of radiopharmaceuticals under the American College of Radiology guidelines. Recognizes clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and takes appropriate action to resolve them to achieve desirable outcomes. Identifies patients and their files by utilizing electronic medical records and picture archiving/communication systems with high accuracy. Demonstrates effective use of radiation protection procedures with shielding, collimation devices, and protective shielding per supervisor observation. Maintains exposure reading within ALARA limits. Minimum Requirements
Education:
Associate Degree Nuclear Medicine; graduate of an accredited school/program of Nuclear Medicine Technology. Liscensure:
Registered State Inspector Virginia. Must be licensed as required by the state of employment if employed at an Inova Health System free-standing Imaging Center not affiliated with an Inova hospital. Must possess a state Nuclear Medicine Tech license if required by the state and by the employment site. Certification:
CNMT or ARRT-N obtained within one year of hire date; NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification within one year of hire date; Basic Life Support (BLS) on start. Experience:
