Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Echo Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 09/22/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Echo Technologist Schedule: Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Thursdays Off Reports to: Cardiovascular Supervisor Department: Cardiovascular (7055/1460) Status: Full-Time FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Summary: Responsible for performing diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. This includes 2D echo, M-mode, color flow, Doppler, stress echo, and transesophageal echo. The role supports a high standard of patient care and teamwork within the cardiology department. Key Responsibilities: Perform and assist with cardiovascular diagnostic procedures. Operate and maintain ultrasound and cardiology equipment. Accurately document test results and alert physicians to critical findings. Assist with additional testing: EKGs, cardiac/pulmonary monitors, PFTs, LE Doppler, and stress tests. Clean and disinfect equipment per protocols. Support inventory, clerical duties, and patient transport. Participate in staff training, student supervision, and quality improvement (CQI). Practice family-centered care and ensure HIPAA compliance. Provide CPR when needed and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Qualifications: Education: Associate or Bachelor's in Vascular/Echocardiography or allied health with on-the-job training.
