Experienced Aerospace Machinist - Kent Wa

Machinist Level 3 uses established processes to set up, program, and operate various types of industrial grade machines to form, cut, bend, size, and/or machine aerospace quality components from Nickel, Stainless, and Titanium alloys. Perform complex machining operations in support of job shop machining. Operates multiple types of machine tools and performs progressive machining operations to completion, creating tooling components and assemblies with close tolerances or high finish requirements. Fits and assembles where necessary, using machinists' hand tools and measuring instruments. Has familiarity with the working properties of various materials. May program CNC machines in the course of making parts. Detect faulty processes and provide input for their resolution. Follow verbal and written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents. Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures. Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system. May be asked to demonstrate basic operations to others with supervisor approval. Work under limited oversight. Skills, Education and Required Experience Reads and understands manufacturing planning, sketches, blueprints, and specifications as necessary to perform the job function. Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and symbols. Knows where to find this information at Exotic and asks for help when necessary. Understand proper setup and use of tooling associated with machines. Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity. Required to perform shop mathematics associated with machining. May have a demonstrated expertise on multiple machine types or work on one single purpose machine which may involve multiple machining processes. Working Conditions Demonstrate proper and safe operation of equipment, and personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses/full face shield, hearing protection, and gloves as required. Physical Requirements The machine operator performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing, and handling of material. Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation Pay Range: $23.00/hr to $43.7/hr Participation in Annual Incentive Program
