Nuclear Medical Technologist
Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Nuclear Medical Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Nuclear Medical Technologist you will: Consistently produces high quality NM and/or PET images using knowledge of NM education, IV skills, computer processing and image enhancement. Prepare and administers medications and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established procedure. Perform Nuclear Medicine examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. Demonstrates proficiency in operating gamma cameras, SPECT/CT and/or PET/CT machines, uptake probes, well counters, dose calibrators, survey meters and all ancillary equipment within Nuclear Medicine department. Accurately perform documentations in all computer systems within Nuclear Medicine and Imaging Services pertinent to Nuclear Medicine. Perform Hot Lab functions including the acceptance, maintenance and documentation of radiopharmaceuticals. Understand principles of radiation safety. Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in Nuclear Medicine. Performs periodic QA checks as required by state and federal law. Maximize patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume. Works with the Director, Manager and Radiologist to develop policies, procedures and protocols including dose reduction activities. Maintain written protocols for each site and ensures that the protocols in the systems are consistent with the written protocols. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, image quality checks and other duties as assigned. Qualified candidates will possess: High school or GED Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology 2 years Nuclear Medicine Technology experience preferred; CT experience preferred State of Maryland Nuclear Medicine Technologist license, ARRT (N)(CT) or NMTCB (CNMT) Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Work Schedule: 7:30a-4p Tuesday and or Thursday On-Call 2x per week - 4p-7a weekdays, weekend call is 7a-7a Rotating holiday on-call Other shifts as available Pay Range: $37.17 - $55.76 If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
