Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer proficient in Java, Ruby, and AWS technologies for a hybrid role that requires three days a week in-office. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain backend services, optimize APIs, and collaborate closely with our product and technical teams to enhance application functionality and reliability. This role involves significant contributions to our CI/CD pipelines and requires a creative problem-solver with strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Ruby. Design and optimize GraphQL and RESTful APIs for multiple users. Engage in root cause analysis and enhance application performance. Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Docker. Manage and deploy services on AWS while migrating legacy Ruby codebases to modern Java services.
Must-Have Skills:
Strong proficiency in Java and Ruby, including Spring Boot. Experience with API (GraphQL and RESTful) optimization. Solid understanding of AWS services and deployment.
Industry Experience:
Previous experience in software development, with a focus on backend services. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
