JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Department:
Diagnostic Cardiology Anc
Shift Timings:
Morning shift 07:30 - 16:00 hours
BLS, ARDMS or CCI registry in echocardiography; Call: based on departments needs - currently an average of 1 or 2 days per week day, average of 1 weekend every 4 weeks, Holiday call is rotating with regular staff; Experience working in a hospital setting needed; may need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
Roles & Responsibilities •Set up and adjust all imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams. •Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures. •Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures. •Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations. •Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. •Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. •Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). •Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
QUALIFICATIONS •BLS and ACLS •National Institutes of Health (NIH) •Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. •The ability to stand for extended periods. •Strong technical skills. •Knowledge of medical terminology •Passionate about patient care •Requires a minimum of two years of current ECHO Tech experience. •Graduate from a fully accredited Sonography ECHO program •Active unencumbered Wisconsin ECHO Tech state license •One year of Cerner experience •ARRT Certification
Requirements •COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
