This Medical Receptionist will oversee the daily operations of the clinic, communicate and delegate to other staff, and effectively manage the physical therapist's schedule. The role requires multitasking and a strong commitment to outstanding customer service. Hours : Monday-Friday, 07:30am - 3:30pm (schedule is subject to change slightly as needed to meet business needs). Job Description

Under the general and direct supervision of the Site Director, Physical Therapist, or Corporate Management, the Medical Receptionist prepares the patient for treatment by collecting payments and paperwork; performs housekeeping duties of the department/facility; and oversees the daily operations of the clinic. Responsibilities and Duties Verification of insurances and authorizations of visits Delegation and coordination of tasks with other Medical Receptionists, Physical Therapists, Site Directors, and Corporate Management Accurately enter charges (copays, coinsurance, and bill payments) and review daily patient payments Preparation and coordination of in-services and events with Site Director and Corporate Management Perform clerical duties such as inventory, ordering supplies, answering the telephone or taking messages; assist patients with paperwork when necessary Communicate arrival of clients and help ensure timeliness of sessions Multitask effectively and complete tasks within expected timeframes Maintain a neat and organized workspace and ensure cleanliness within the facility Assist in scheduling appointments, tracking lost patients, and proactively rescheduling as needed Follow up on daily reports and communicate the need for prescriptions, authorizations/referrals/precertifications to avoid delays in patient care

Qualifications and Skills

Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and scheduling software Proficiency with office technology (computer, scanner, iPad, credit card machine); knowledge of WebPT, Revflow, and other healthcare software is favorable Customer service/relations experience Basic understanding of physiology, anatomy, and neurology is helpful but not required Previous clinical experience (hospital or physical therapy clinic) with an understanding of medical billing practices and terminology (CPT and ICD-10 codes) is a plus Ability to follow directions, be detail-oriented, adaptable, and flexible Professional, courteous, and respectful in interactions Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment Experience using Google Workspace (G Suite) Self-starter with initiative High school graduate or equivalent
