Maintains a neat, clean and sanitary work area appropriate for food and service ware handling including mopping, sweeping and dishwashing. Uses department equipment in a safe, efficient and confident manner. Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures including proper food safety procedures. Stays current with training requirements and safety in-services. Serves internal and external customer needs promptly, accurately and politely utilizing department and University Hospitals service standards. Ability to work in advanced skill areas such as diet office and/or cashier. Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager. Required For All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications

High School Equivalent / GED Preferred

1 year of experience Preferred

Work Experience

1+ years Of food service experience Preferred and

1+ years Of experience working with customers Preferred and

Previous cash handling experience Preferred
