Community Relations Manager
The role of the Community Relations team is to develop strategies and lead efforts that help create and maintain a positive reputation with the company's stakeholders and position the company as a regional banking leader within the industry and the markets it serves. At First Horizon, Community Relations helps achieve corporate objectives at the market level by creating and executing plans that support and promote the brand, maintain and develop client relationships, and make a positive impact in our communities. This role works closely with regional and market leadership to: Develop and support a market strategy that drives client growth and revenue Support banking teams in order to develop and sustain client relationships Operationalize brand at the ground level Position the company as a leader in the community Integrate corporate communications and marketing strategies within regions Promote attraction and retention of talent Provide market level feedback to corporate communications and marketing partners These objectives are achieved through: Creating and executing market level differentiating events and client experiences to build relationships with clients and centers of influence Working with marketing to execute on large and/or targeted events in the markets Developing and executing a community investment strategy that aligns with corporate guidelines and addresses the pressing needs of each community. Including budget management, acting as primary relationship owner of nonprofit and civic organizations, and providing ROI Serving as a Liaison to CRA to help define and achieve market level CRA goals and objectives Managing local media relations and pursuing earned media opportunities Handling local advertising needs with approval from marketing Representing the company at meetings and events Fostering associate engagement in the community and in the workplace Providing the social media team local content that promotes community investments/partnerships, client events/experiences, strategic partnerships, volunteerism and talent Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years experience in community relations, public relations, or a related field Proven ability to develop and execute community investment strategies, plan and manage events, collaborate with senior leaders and CRA liaisons, and support both client engagement and associate involvement Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with internal and external audiences Self-motivated and team oriented Committed to high-quality work product Discretion to manage highly confidential information Ability to work efficiently with a high level of attention to detail Excellent time-management, organizational and problem-solving skills Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and be able to respond effectively to competing priorities Advanced knowledge of MS Office 4-year degree in public relations/marketing/communications preferred Benefit Highlights: Medical with wellness incentives, dental, and vision HSA with company match Maternity and parental leave Tuition reimbursement Mentor program 401(k) with 6% match More -- FirstHorizon.com/First-Horizon-National-Corporation/Careers/Our-Benefits Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
