Schedule/Hours:
Daily hours 9:00 am to 3:00, Saturdays are required This position is responsible for: Assists customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items; operates and maintains a cash register; maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of store displays; ensures the security of store items and the cash register. Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines the suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. Key Responsibilities: Assists customers purchasing items by ringing up sales utilizing a cash register, collects money, counts change and prepares receipts Answers the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner Receives, inspects and sorts donated items according to category and condition Tags and hangs items with specially coded tickets and/or prices in accordance with established procedures Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language Ability to operate a cash register Ability to perform routine mathematical computations and count change Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting Ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment Work is performed in a normal store environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather, with occasional discomforts associated with dust, noise, crowds, chemical odors and the like Employee Benefits Paid time off Retirement What We Are Looking For In You
High School diploma or G.E.D. and experience working in a retail store preferred OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities Licenses and Certifications:
