The MIL Corporation is seeking a highly qualified and self-motivated
Senior Systems Administrator (Systems Administration, Associate)
to support the Department of Defense (DoD) National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). This facility supports the mission to provide realistic cybersecurity environments for test and evaluation of major DoD acquisition programs and to enable the conduct of realistic training and certification events for the DoD Cyber Mission Force. The NCRC facility may also support non-DoD customers such as Department of Homeland Security (DHS), industry, academia, and international partners. The successful candidate will serve at the Patuxent Naval Air Station, MD site. This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities Configure, install, and maintain the organization's physical and virtual infrastructure. Includes both Windows and Linux servers, as well as various networking and storage systems. Maintain security compliance by patching, scanning, applying DoD STIGs, and other cyber techniques. Diagnose and trouble-shoot a wide variety of hardware, software, and networking problems. Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve systems' performance and reliability. Manage user accounts and permissions. Update and maintain documentation and knowledge base, including system descriptions, processes and procedures. Assist as a member of Event Staff in creation of event environments to ensure planned testing activities are executed, develop network security guidelines.
Travel
10% - 15% to other sites, as needed. Local travel around command campus is expected. Required Qualifications
At least 7 years of progressive, hands-on experience maintaining Enterprise information systems as a systems administrator or systems engineer, with both Windows and Linux. DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (example: Security CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start date. Working understanding of LANs/WANs, switching, firewall and general networking configurations Strong understanding of system security principles and hardening techniques Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
Desired Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master's) in science and technology related disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, and Computer Engineering, or equivalent. Experience administering or engineering a variety of IT devices, applications, and technologies (e.g.: NetApp, Splunk, ACAS, Trellix, etc.) Current certification (Redhat/Linux, Windows, VMware, Cisco, etc.) Scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc. Knowledge and experience maintaining compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) NCRC or other Cyber Range experience strongly desired
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification. Clearance

$150,000 - $175,000
