Work Site Highlights: UH Digestive Health Institute is composed of gastroenterologists, hepatologists and surgeons working with nurses, dietitians and other providers – all committed to digestive health. This integrated model of health care means patients are seen by specialists from multiple disciplines, working together to provide personalized care plans. UH Digestive Health Institute programs promote the University Hospitals mission: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover. Geographically, the provider will be located on the Westside of Cleveland. Opportunity Highlights: University Hospitals is seeking applications from practicing gastroenterologists and outgoing trainees in gastroenterology for full-time employment. We are a large academic health system comprised of 21 hospitals in Northeast Ohio, serving 1 million unique patients each year and have 25% market share in our region. Our hospital was founded in 1866 and we are affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, ranked in the top 25 nationally. We perform more than 40,000 endoscopies annually in our system, with more than 50,000 patient encounters. Job opportunities include a wide range of profiles for trainees in gastroenterology, including community-based and academic-centered positions. These include the following positions: hospitalist inpatient gastroenterology services, community gastroenterologist with inpatient coverage and potential for eventual joint venture partnership, academic general gastroenterology, IBD specialist, advanced endoscopist, motility disorder specialist, hepatologist, and nutrition services medical director. The setting is suburban, and includes one or more hospital locations located 30-45 minutes from downtown Cleveland.
