Medical Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in the primary care department. This position involves preparing and maintaining exam rooms, managing patient charts, and assisting with patient flow to ensure the efficient operation of the clinical office. Responsibilities Interact directly with patients in a clinic setting and complete clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs and verifying medications. Prepare for office hours by obtaining charts, scheduling tests, and preparing exam rooms. Essential Skills Proficiency in medical assisting, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Certification as a CCMA or RMA through an approved organization such as the NHA. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Two years or more of experience as a Medical Assistant. Strong interactive communication skills with the ability to work with physicians, patients, families, significant others, and support staff. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and telephone skills. Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, fundamentals of medical terminology, and experience with electronic medical records. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
