Overview
The Nursing Supervisor (part-time, nights) coordinates the supervision of patient care and nursing personnel management to provide sufficient/competent nursing staff and quality patient care and nursing practice. Assists members of the nursing staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care and coordinates patient admission, bed placement, and transfer. Position Details

Associates in Nursing required; Bachelors preferred. 2 years Clinical Nursing required Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration
Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required Job Specific Duties
Scheduling & Staffing:
Assesses/plans for adequate staffing, assignment, and utilization of nursing personnel based on budgeted hours, staff availability/competency, and patient acuity. Documents staffing adjustments for adequate coverage. Leadership:
Assists unit coordinators/charge nurses with unfamiliar/new procedures, treatments, or equipment. Supports management of personnel disciplinary problems/actions as requested. Participates in performance assessment and improvement activities. Teamwork:
Assists Unit Coordinators in assessing/utilizing/managing nursing and float staff. Collaborates with staff on complex patient conditions and bed placement; communicates with physicians and other departments as needed. Emergency Response:
Responds to emergency codes, coordinates staff readiness, and reports issues. Communicates with Administrator on-call and other stakeholders during emergencies. Strategic Planning & Goal Setting:
Participates in planning and implementing goals and programs for patient care and nursing practice; contributes to policy development. Rounding:
Conducts nursing rounds on all units. Supplies & Equipment:
Dispenses supplies/equipment as needed. Committee Participation:
Serves on nursing or hospital committees as requested. Meetings & Continuing Education:
Attends required meetings and mandatory programs with high participation. Reporting:
Communicates pertinent clinical or management information to colleagues, and documents shift-change information as required. Professionalism:
Maintains professional working relationships and adheres to department rules. Other Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned by management. Pay Range:
