Position Overview
The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire a Stores Clerk for the Elgin Mental Health Center located in Elgin, Illinois to perform routine clerical and manual tasks in the Property Control Warehouse, Dietary and Stores area. Operates forklifts and other equipment in loading, unloading, and transporting of supplies and inventory weighing in excess of 50 lbs. with assistance. Re-packs stock for distribution. Delivers supplies to all departments within the facility as required. Assists in taking physical inventories.
Essential Functions
Performs routine clerical and manual tasks in the Property Control Warehouse, Dietary and Stores area of the Elgin Mental Health Center. Re-packs stock for distribution. Prepares and maintains receiving records. Completes other reports and records as required. Maintains clean and orderly shelves, mailroom, and warehouse. Assists in taking inventory of consumables. Assists in taking physical inventories of furniture and equipment requiring property control and accountability. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years high school. Conditions of Employment
Requires the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. with assistance. Requires the ability to use a forklift. Requires a valid driver's license. Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law. * The conditions of employment listed here are incorporated and related to any of the job duties as listed in the job description.
