Summary of the Role:
The Legal Data Specialist will serve as a core member of the Litigation Technology Unit at the USAO in Dallas, TX. This individual will support all facets of eDiscovery, from ESI collection through trial presentation. The role requires technical expertise, legal process knowledge, and hands-on experience with advanced litigation support software.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize eDiscovery and automated legal software (Relativity, Nuix, Cloud Nine, IPRO Eclipse/eScan-IT, LexisNexis CaseMap, TimeMap) to collect, analyze, process, review, and produce electronically stored information (ESI).
Support LTU and case teams by configuring and training users on IPRO Trial Director and related software for evidence presentation at trials and hearings.
Convert and organize data from various sources into searchable PDF portfolios using Adobe software, and input files into litigation databases.
Load and manage native email files (with metadata) in eDiscovery platforms, extract relevant data, and transfer ESI between software programs.
Assist case teams in creating hosted websites for eDiscovery reviews, and produce logs, reports, and summaries using relevant software tools.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree (or 3 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation support or eDiscovery environments.
Proficiency in Relativity, Nuix, Cloud Nine Law PreDiscovery, IPRO Eclipse SE, and similar platforms.
Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
Experience in litigation lifecycle and eDiscovery/document review workflows.
Favorable adjudication for a Department Of Justice (DOJ) Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Department Of Justice (DOJ) or federal litigation experience.
Administrator-level experience in litigation support platforms.
