HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
Location: In-office – Walker, (2) Remote working days/month after 90 days of training.
Reports To: HR Executive
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who is eager to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of HR functions. Reporting directly to the HR Executive, the HR Generalist will support recruiting, onboarding, payroll preparation, employee engagement, and other daily HR activities.
This is a dynamic position where no two days are the same, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring smooth HR operations while creating a welcoming experience for new and current employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support hourly recruiting efforts, including job postings, resume reviews, scheduling and conducting interviews.
- Participate in candidate interviews.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Build and distribute new hire welcome boxes.
Employee & Office Support
- Manage office-related needs such as ordering office supplies, cleaning supplies, and fruit deliveries.
- Assist with ordering company apparel and managing inventory.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Review and check employee timecards.
- Prepare payroll for bi-weekly processing.
- Enter new hires and terminations into multiple HR systems.
- Assist in processing 401(k) and HSA contributions.
HR Operations
- Maintain employee records across systems.
- Assist with compliance and policy adherence.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to HR processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–2 years of HR experience (internships or entry-level HR roles considered).
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now Next Generation strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting and speaking in orientation settings.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
7:30am - 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch from 12pm - 1pm
