Our Bench Jewelers are key members of our team, ensuring that our customers’ experiences - from having their jewelry repaired or cleaned to creating a piece of fine custom jewelry - are unparallelled.
We promote a professional and positive atmosphere and are looking for team members who will contribute to our successes daily.
*Duties*
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Advanced jewelry design using CAD software
· Soldering
· Polishing
· Stone Setting
· Laser engraving
· Casting
· Working with gold, silver and platinum
· 3D wax printing and lost wax castings
· Jewelry repair
· Watch battery replacement
· Jewelry cleaning
· Resizing
· Consulting with clients
· Assisting with appraisals as needed
· Maintaining a pristine shop
Skills Required
* Artistic ability and creativity * Proficiency in jewelry-making techniques: (soldering, stone setting, polishing, laser engraving – or willingness to learn laser engraving) * Knowledge of materials: (metals, gemstones, etc.) * Advanced CAD/CAM skills * Communication and customer service skills * Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills * Attention to detail and precision * Unwavering professionalism * A positive attitude and respect for team members and customers alike
*Experience*
* Previous experience in a high end jewelry setting is preferred. *Minimum* of three years as a bench jeweler. *No exceptions.* * Familiarity with custom jewelry design and manufacturing processes. * Familiarity with the use of hand tools is essential.
