Manufacturing Estimator
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Estimator to join our team in the aviation components industry. This role is essential in providing precise cost estimates and pricing proposals for CNC machining, fabrication, and finishing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and aerospace estimation, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with ERP systems. Responsibilities
Review RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and technical drawings related to aviation components. Analyze machining requirements including materials, tooling, labor, and cycle times. Collaborate with engineering and procurement to determine optimal manufacturing processes and sourcing strategies. Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing proposals for CNC machining, fabrication, and finishing operations. Maintain and update cost databases for materials, labor rates, and vendor pricing. Interface with customers to clarify requirements and provide technical feedback during the quoting process. Track quote performance and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating accuracy and win rates. Essential Skills
2+ years of experience as an Estimator in machining and aerospace. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP systems, with JobBoss experience being a plus. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical skills. This position is based in an office attached to a manufacturing building, providing a small office setting that supports the machine shop. The role offers long-term stability with good employee tenure, making it an ideal environment for professional growth. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas. The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
