Legal Assistant

Our client is a well-established litigation law firm supporting attorneys across multiple practice areas. They are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to provide direct support to a team of attorneys and a paralegal in their Towson, MD office. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where prior litigation experience is essential. The Legal Assistant will play a vital role in supporting case preparation and day-to-day legal operations. This includes managing documentation, coordinating with attorneys and clients, and ensuring smooth workflow from case inception through resolution. Key Responsibilities: Draft, edit, proofread, and e-file pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and correspondence. Prepare case files from inception through settlement or trial. Maintain and update attorney calendars, deadlines, and case milestones. Coordinate depositions, hearings, and independent medical exams (imes). Assist with billing, invoicing, and vendor payment tracking. Organize and maintain both electronic and physical case files. Serve as the primary point of contact for attorneys, paralegals, and clients. Qualifications: 24+ years of litigation experience, preferably in defense law. Proficiency in e-filing, e-billing, and document management systems. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF). Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage high-volume workload. Team-oriented but able to work independently with minimal oversight. Additional Details: Looking for a start asap. Candidates must successfully pass a federal, state, and county background check. Fully on-site role with potential for limited hybrid flexibility once fully trained.
