Houston, Texas seeks an experienced physician with a proven clinical track record to serve as the Attending Pediatric Anesthesiologist. The Department of Anesthesiology at Texas Childrens Hospital in Houston, Texas is seeking an exceptional provider to serve as a Pediatric Anesthesiologist, within the highly respected Department of Anesthesiology. It is a new era for Pediatric Anesthesiology at Texas Children's Hospital. Our department is excited to be expanding its faculty as the hospital system continues to grow and expand its reach into the Greater Houston community. We now have more than 100 MD and CRNA faculty. As Texas Children's continues to grow, we will continue to need highly qualified pediatric-trained anesthesiology faculty to care for our patients. Position Highlights : Join our nationally recognized team of pediatric specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical Pediatric Anesthesiology (Assistant Professor) at our new Houston, Texas location: Provide surgical anesthesia for all types of routine pediatric surgery including outpatient ear, nose and throat procedures and general surgery cases. Anesthesia for complex operations in children, such as congenital heart surgery, organ transplantation, neurosurgery, craniofacial reconstruction, complex urogenital reconstruction, exit procedures, orthopedic spine surgery and bariatric surgery. Consultation with surgeons and pediatricians. Pre-admission anesthetic evaluation and testing, including preoperative instructions and tours for children and their families. Anesthesia management for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including cardiac catheterization and minor hematology/oncology procedures. Acute post-operative pain management including patient-controlled analgesia or PCA, epidural and caudal analgesia. Qualifications: Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. An academic record consistent with appointment as an assistant level or associate professor is desired given TCHs affiliation with Baylor. However, this is

required for this position. Applicants must have a Medical School Degree, Residency in Anesthesiology, and a Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology. The successful candidate will be board certified/eligible in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology. Additional subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia is required. The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license.
