As an Enterprise Account Executive at Alation, you will be at the forefront of the data intelligence revolution, partnering with enterprises to redefine how they discover, manage, and derive value from their data assets. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you will operate as a trusted advisor and thought leader, driving transformative initiatives that empower organizations to create data-driven cultures. You will be instrumental in not just driving sales but also shaping the strategic adoption of Alation's data intelligence platform, which encompasses data cataloging, data governance, and collaborative analytics. What Youll Do Lead Strategic Growth Initiatives: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to introduce Alations data intelligence platform into high-value accounts, focusing on large, complex organizations. Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Build and sustain deep relationships with senior executives, technical teams, and business leaders, becoming their go-to consultant for all things data intelligence. Shape Enterprise Data Strategies: Partner with customers to design and execute transformative data strategies, enabling them to unlock the full potential of their data ecosystem. Orchestrate Ecosystem Collaboration: Collaborate with product, marketing, customer success, and partner teams to deliver holistic, end-to-end solutions that align with customer needs. Master Complex Deal Cycles: Navigate and close large, multi-stakeholder enterprise contracts, often involving detailed technical evaluations and complex procurement processes. Drive Adoption and ROI: Act as an advocate for customer success by ensuring the adoption of Alations platform, delivering measurable business value, and driving improvements in metrics like lifetime value (LTV) and customer acquisition cost (CAC). Evangelize the Alation Ecosystem: Leverage a strong understanding of the data intelligence market, competitive landscape, and industry trends to position Alation as the clear market leader.
What You Need Deep Industry Expertise: 12+ years of experience successfully selling SaaS enterprise software, particularly within the data intelligence, analytics, or business intelligence sectors. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales quotas for complex enterprise solutions. Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of the data ecosystem, including data cataloging, governance, and analytics, with the ability to effectively communicate technical value propositions to both business and technical stakeholders. Sales Excellence: Familiarity with modern sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Force Management, or Value Selling, with the ability to tailor these frameworks to unique customer scenarios. Strategic Thinking: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a talent for identifying customer pain points and designing tailored high-value solutions. Collaborative Leadership: Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes. Communication Mastery: Stellar written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and compellingly. Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving market conditions and customer needs. Education: A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced degrees are a plus.
Compensation Pay Range $124,690.00 - $168,332.00 Salary Information The base salary range is specific to the United States. The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, work location, specialty and training.
