Job Title: Civil Project Manager

Job Summary: Work encompasses all aspects of project management and engineering of residential, commercial, municipal and institutional projects.

Essential Duties:

• Representing Johnson Engineering as district engineer for community development districts (CDDs). Ability to understand construction plans, permits, and plats to determine CDDs responsibilities. Comfortable attending and speaking at public CDD board meetings.
• Writing technical reports, letters, project summaries, and emails.
• Project management assistance on various types of land development projects including client coordination, contract negotiation, developing and maintaining project schedules, and maintaining project budgets.
• Supervising CAD designers and project coordination with other departments, professions, and agencies.
• Supervising permit technicians and administration in completing permit applications and moving permit application process forward.
• Construction observations, preparing field observation reports of construction activity, and witnessing critical tasks during construction.

Qualifications:

• Engineer or project manager with 10 years or more of experience in civil engineering development projects or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal skills are required. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook are preferred.
• Position requires contact with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Must have an excellent driving record and have a valid Florida driver's license as driving is an essential part of the position.
