We are seeking a Restaurant Busser to join our outstanding team.

Our Bussers provide expert support to the restaurant teams and help to ensure our guests receive timely and gracious service. In addition, it is through their efforts that we can operate a clean and well-stocked restaurant that is in keeping with the high standards we pride ourselves on.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greets all guests in a friendly manner. Sets and clears tables according to Hotel standards. Assists Food Servers in servicing the guests. Follow all safety, hygiene and cleanliness protocols at all times. Carries dirty dishes from dining room to the Kitchen. Wipes table tops and chairs with damp cloth. Replaces soiled table linens and sets tables with silverware and glassware. Replenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in the service station. Follows up on all service details for the Food Server. Serves ice water bread and butter to patrons. Cleans the floors when necessary. Sets out and lights candles. Cleans and polishes shelves and doors of service bars and equipment such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers. Makes coffee, ice tea and fills fruit juice dispensers. Completes all opening and closing side work. Keeps work area clean and organized. All other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel.

Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the Hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Meets legal age requirement for the position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Prior Hospitality experience is preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Food Handler Certification required.

The associate will occasionally kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

PAY SCALE

The pay scale for this position is $17.52 per hour plus gratuities. This is the pay rate for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
