Overview: Job Description: This position is responsible for helping oversee OSP Construction. The FTTH Field Inspector ensures project compliance with State, local, and company requirements while working within the public ROW or utility easement. This position requires strong teamwork with the Construction Supervisor, Technicians, as well as the OSP Engineer. This position could also support other duties assigned by the Manager or Director of Engineering. Responsibilities: • Familiarity with permitting requirements • Inspection of all construction environments post construction on FTTH projects. (Aerial, Buried, and UG) • Ability to recognize placement of plant that does not adhere to the client’s current construction standards, and practices. • Ability to identify safety concerns/quality concerns post construction. Required Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of OSP Engineering, Construction Standards, and Practices • Strong knowledge of OSP Unit Descriptions and SSP contracts • Strong knowledge of State, Local, and Company standards for Safety • Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code • Minimum five years of combined Outside Plant Engineering & Construction experience • Physical requirements include the ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, extended driving, and lifting and carrying of moderately heavy objects • Overnight travel may occasionally be required • Valid driver's license is required Thank you for your interest in Mountain Ltd.
