Role Summary: The Cloud Transformation, Infrastructure and Enterprise Solutions (C-TIES) organization inspires innovations and powers Pfizer’s growth as the technology engine that makes our enterprise operations possible. The Cloud & Data Hosting (C-DH) organization within C-TIES represents the Digital Center of Excellence for cloud infrastructure capabilities, providing foundational public and private cloud services to all business lines, globally across Pfizer. CNSS is a high-performing team, focused on delivering secure, compliant, and automated cloud solutions. We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Hosting Delivery team—someone who takes full ownership of their domain and is driven to eliminate software errors, prevent user friction, and consistently meet or exceed delivery expectations. In this role, you’ll bring your solid development expertise, willingness to grow your fellow developers, and embody a DevOps-first mindset to ensure seamless, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. Role Responsibilities Automate Everything at Scale: Build scalable self-service automation for provisioning and managing cloud resources globally (AWS, Azure, vSphere). Think automated operations which are smarter and faster.
Write Code That Connects It All: Use Python, Ansible and PowerShell to integrate infrastructure with core systems like ITSM, IPAM, backup, and monitoring. Your code will keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Use AI to Move Faster: Leverage generative AI tools to prototype, test, and ship production-ready code that solves real problems—faster than ever.
Debug Like a Detective: Tackle complex issues in delivery automation. Whether it’s a monitoring alert or a user-reported bug, you’ll get to the root cause and fix it right.
Own What You Build: Provide L4 support for your automation. You’ll be the go-to expert when things go sideways—and the one who makes sure they don’t.
Work the Agile Way: Join daily standups, flag blockers early, and help the team stay on track for clean, on-time releases.
Document for Humans: Write clear, useful documentation that helps others understand, reuse, and improve what you’ve built.
Keep Leveling Up: Stay sharp by learning new tools, exploring emerging tech, and continuously improving your craft.
What You’ll Need to Succeed Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field with 4 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience, or Associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or High School diploma and 10+ years of experience with emphasis on development utilizing cloud technologies.
4 years of Python software development and Ansible Playbook experience.
3 years of Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or vSphere cloud experience.
4 years of API experience – creating, evolving and deprecating.
Front-end User Interface development with an obsession for smooth interaction and reliability for the user.
Candidate should be highly motivated and capable of working independently.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
Ability to document software designs, provide technical recommendations to product owners and communicate implementation details in simple non-technical fashion.
Comfortable with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Ability to maintaining confidentiality of investigation information.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and constraints.
Preferred Qualifications Python & Cloud certifications are highly desired.
Familiarity and/or previous experience with Agile (e.g. Scrum) is desired.
Terraform and AI Development Integration desired for future optimization.
Experience with ServiceNow and/or Rubrik

Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements Respond to requests on short notice, which may require working during extended hours, weekends and holidays. Work Location Assignment: Must be able to work in assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week, or as needed by the business. This role is NOT remote.

Salary and Benefits The annual base salary for this position ranges from $96,300.00 to $160,500.00. This position is eligible for Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of base salary and participation in our long-term incentive program. Benefits include 401(k) with Pfizer matching, retirement contributions, paid vacation/holiday/personal days, caregiver/parental leave, medical/dental/vision coverage, and more. Salary ranges vary by location. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility.
