We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team in the Construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing company where you will have the chance to make a significant impact on our operations and success.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and tasks.
3. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
4. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
5. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
6. Meet contractual conditions of performance.
7. Review the work progress on a daily basis.
8. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
9. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
10. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
11. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
12. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Project Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in commercial construction projects.
3. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
4. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
5. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
6. Familiarity with construction and project management software programs.
7. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
8. Excellent time and project management skills.
9. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
10. Team player with leadership abilities.
11. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
12. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
13. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
14. Good knowledge of MS Office.
15. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
16. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
17. A team player with leadership abilities.
