About Us
Building the next wave of AI systems that can see, read, listen, reason, and act across multiple modalities. Models are trained at massive scale, fine-tuned with reinforcement learning, and deployed to tackle real-world complexity safely and efficiently. Operating at the frontier of AI research, turning experimental ideas into systems that redefine what’s possible. The Role
We’re looking for a Research Engineer who thrives on working at the bleeding edge of AI. You’ll be hands-on with large-scale pre-training of LLMs and multi-modal models, post-training via RL (including RLHF), and developing scalable systems that bring research ideas to life. If you want to push model capabilities to their limits and work with world-class researchers, this is your spot. What You’ll Do
Lead and contribute to multi-modal research pipelines: text, vision, audio, and beyond. Pre-train large-scale models on diverse and complex datasets with cutting-edge techniques. Post-train and fine-tune models using RL, reward modeling, and alignment strategies. Optimize distributed training and model architectures for efficiency and scalability. Benchmark, analyze, and iterate on models to push the state-of-the-art. Collaborate with research and engineering teams to translate ideas into deployable systems. Who You Are
Expert in deep learning, reinforcement learning, or large-scale AI research. Hands-on experience with pre-training and post-training LLMs and/or multi-modal models. Comfortable with RLHF or related alignment/fine-tuning methods. Skilled in Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and large-scale distributed training. Experienced with handling massive datasets and complex model architectures. Driven, curious, and ready to tackle some of the hardest problems in AI today. PhD or equivalent research experience is a strong plus—but exceptional skills and experience speak louder. Why Join Us
Work with world-class researchers on ambitious AI projects. Access to massive compute for experimentation without limits. Influence the future of multi-modal and reinforcement learning-driven AI. Competitive compensation, equity, and flexible Bay Area–based arrangements. Apply If
You want to help build AI systems that don’t just learn - they see, reason, act, and push the boundaries of intelligence. Seniority level
