The Senior Manager, Patient Marketing and Engagement will play a critical role in supporting the design and execution of patient-focused strategies and initiatives to educate, empower, and activate patients with rare autoimmune conditions and their caregivers. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional partners—including HCP Marketing, Patient Advocacy, Patient Support Services, Corporate Communications, and external agencies—while gaining broad exposure across the full spectrum of pharmaceutical marketing.
This is an excellent role for an ambitious marketer who is eager to devel/hone fundamental capabilities, gain the diversity of hands-on experience, and grow into a well-rounded, future marketing lead.
Roles and Responsibilities
Campaign Execution: Partner with the Associate Director and Indication Lead to develop and execute disease state awareness and patient education tactics across digital, print, and live channels Content Development: Support creation of patient-centered messaging, educational resources, and storytelling assets that reflect empathy, clarity, and compliance Omnichannel Engagement: Assist in planning and implementing multichannel campaigns, learning to optimize patient touchpoints across digital, social, events, and advocacy partnerships Insights & Analytics: Collaborate with Commercial Insights to synthesize patient and caregiver insights; monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for optimization Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory partners to ensure timely, compliant review and approval of patient-facing tactics Agency & Budget Support: Work with agency partners to deliver high-quality tactics on time and within scope; help track budgets and project timelines Professional Growth: Gain exposure to brand strategy, launch planning, community engagement, omnichannel marketing, and conference/event presence with the opportunity to take on increasing ownership as capabilities evolve
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Science, Marketing, or Business preferred) 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing or related commercial experience; experience in rare disease, specialty care, or patient engagement preferred Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills Collaborative team player with curiosity, creativity, and eagerness to learn Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Understanding of (or ability to learn quickly) the regulatory and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical marketing Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for patient-centered innovation Ability to travel up to 30-40%, including some weekends
