Requirements Management & Documentation
Create and document detailed business requirements for Power BI reports and dashboards
Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather functional and non-functional requirements
Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications
Maintain requirements traceability matrices and change control documentation
Data Analysis & Source Evaluation nalyze new database sources feeding into Power BI dashboards ssess data quality, completeness, and business relevance Document data lineage, business rules, and transformation requirements Collaborate with data engineers to validate data integrity and performance
Testing & Quality Assurance Develop comprehensive test plans for Power BI reports and data validations Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate testing activities Validate business logic, calculations, and dashboard functionality Document defects and work with development teams for resolution
Business Process & Improvement Map current state and future state business processes Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions Support change management and user adoption activities
Stakeholder Management Serve as primary liaison between business users and technical teams Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership Facilitate cross-functional meetings and decision-making sessions Provide regular project updates and status reporting
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of business analyst experience in data/analytics projects Strong experience with Power BI, data visualization, and reporting tools Proven expertise in SQL, database analysis, and data validation Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and testing methodologies Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications Experience in utility/energy industry Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence Previous experience with database migration or dashboard implementation projects dvanced Excel and data analysis skills
