Save Job

Our client, a Financial Services firm headquartered in NY, is seeking a Senior Architect to create a next-generation platform for private markets, focusing on seamless client servicing and fund administration. Their mission is to harness next-gen technology to revolutionize operational workflows, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and exceptional client experiences.

As Software Architect, you will own the design of this platform-from the agentic workflow engine to data abstraction and system integration. You'll be responsible for defining how work moves through the system, how AI agents interact with it, and how we unlock seamless onboarding and scale.

What You'll Own

:

Workflow & Case Management Architecture

Define the core engine that powers structured, dynamic workflows across client servicing and fund admin. Architect flexible case objects, lifecycle states, SLA enforcement, routing logic, and escalation paths. Ensure workflows are interoperable with AI agents, human review steps, and third-party systems.

Agentic Infrastructure

Build the execution environment where AI agents can monitor, initiate, and resolve tasks within workflows.

Data Abstraction Layer

Design the data architecture that sits above fragmented systems of record (e.g., fund admins, custodians, GP tools). Ensure a single source of truth with integrity, traceability, and schema flexibility for evolving fund structures.

System Integration & Extensibility

Architect APIs and event-driven frameworks that enable seamless integrations across servicing platforms, fund administrators, CRM, and document stores. Support partner onboarding and extensibility.

Scalability, Security, and Auditability

Ensure the platform is modular, performant, and secure-with full support for permissioning, immutable logging, and regulatory compliance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Design and document the architecture for the workflow, case management, and automation engine Collaborate with product, ops, and engineering to translate servicing use cases into executable flows Select architectural patterns and platforms Define and govern standards for system modularity, observability, fault tolerance, and extensibility Drive consistency and reusability across squads building servicing modules Participate in key design and code reviews; mentor engineers and enforce architectural integrity Partner with AI/ML leads to ensure agent workflows are grounded in business logic and infrastructure-aware Your Background

10+ years in backend or platform engineering, with 3+ years designing complex architectures as a tech lead or architect Proven experience with workflow systems, orchestration engines, or case management platforms in fintech or enterprise software Strong systems thinking and data modeling skills-comfortable working across events, states, dependencies, and integrations Familiarity with LLM or agentic AI frameworks and how they embed into production-grade systems Experience with scalable SaaS platforms (microservices, distributed systems, pub/sub messaging, CI/CD pipelines) Deep understanding of permissioning, audit logging, and compliance requirements in financial services Strong communicator with ability to bridge between product, engineering, and operations
