Overview

We are seeking multiple highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to support Headquarters of the United States Air Force, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration, SAF/SQ International Affairs/Negotiator Support.

Responsibilities

Provides staff support to SAF/SQ regarding the range of DoD, national security, civil, commercial, and international space issues. Develops, coordinates, and provides input to the SP for strategic guidance regarding Defense Space architectures, capabilities and systems. Coordinates SP efforts with Air Force Space Policy, Space Policy Office. Facilitates interagency coordination and policy support with such agencies as OSTP, NSC, DoS, DoC, DoT, DHS, OSD, NRO, NASA, Army, Navy, Air Force, STRATCOM, AFSPC on various topics. Supports DoD, STRATCOM, AFSPC and international wargame planning and execution including policy, strategy, & planning development. Provides the SAF/SQ with expert advice on wargaming, engineering, and other technical issues. Provides technical support to the Defense Space Council, as required. Skills Required

20+ years experience involving military operations or national security activities, space operations or space acquisitions, weapons and tactics, space weapons and tactics. Senior staff, writing, and decision-making skills. Strong public speaking skills. Recent work experience with strategic and operational level war games Desired Skills:

Recent work experience with National Security Space (DoD or IC) community Recent experience supporting varied short-notice, high-visibility studies and assessments meetings, and integrated product teams Experience facilitating IPTs by collecting stakeholder inputs and resolving/scoring critical recommendations Recent work experience with National Security Space (DoD or IC) community

Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, or the sciences.
