Position Summary
ECS Federal, LLC. is seeking a mid-level Network Engineer to support Mission-Critical operations in a secure classified environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and security of enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and relevant federal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and identity service engines. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and security issues. Implement and maintain security measures in accordance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DISA STIG requirements. Support classified and unclassified networks in compliance with applicable security policies. Manage VLANs, IP address assignments, and DNS/DHCP services. Maintain documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and change management records. Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to apply patches, updates, and vulnerability mitigations. Provide Tier II/III support for network related incidents and escalations. Participate in network design and capacity planning to meet mission requirements Additional Requirements
Must be able to work in a secure facility and comply with strict physical and cyber access controls Ability to lift and rack networking equipment U.S. Citizen with DoD SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field of study Ability to monitor, problem solve, troubleshoot, and resolve issues IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or equivalent) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M 3-5 years of experience administering and securing enterprise network infrastructure. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and Layer 2/3 networking. Experience with Cisco (Firepower, Catalyst) or similar networking equipment. Proficiency with firewall and network security tools like Cisco Threat Defense and Identity Service Engine. Familiarity with DoD networks and security requirements (RMF, STIGs, ACAS, HBSS).
