Data Reporting Analyst Job at Robert Half in Saint Louis

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with specialized expertise in Power BI to play a pivotal role in our ongoing data migration and reporting transformation project. In this role, you'll work closely with both technical teams and business users to migrate key reports from Tableau to Power BI, design impactful dashboards, and empower end-users to manage their analytics independently—all while supporting the transition to Snowflake as the organization's primary data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Visualization Development (60-75%)

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations tailored to business needs.
• Translate business objectives into effective data models and tools that drive actionable insights.
• Rebuild and optimize existing Tableau reports in Power BI, ensuring improved performance and ease of use.

User Training & Enablement (25-40%)

• Partner with business users to understand reporting requirements and key success metrics.
• Provide user training and ongoing support, enabling teams to confidently create and manage their own Power BI analytics solutions.

Collaboration & Transition Support

• Work with data migration teams to integrate data from legacy systems into Snowflake (hands-on migration tasks are minimal).
• Utilize Power BI templates from other entities as a starting point for standardized reports.
• Focus future reporting efforts on key areas, including operations, projects, and finances.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Hands-on expertise in designing advanced reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Proven ability to conduct business analysis and translate reporting goals into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with Tableau for understanding and reconstructing existing reports during the migration process.
• Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms in analytics projects.
• Strong communication and training skills to effectively enable internal teams.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):

• Experience integrating Smartsheets data into Power BI.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or its advanced features.
