Leading competitive window and siding contractor seeking a full-time, salaried Construction Estimator to join our team!
Open to experienced or entry-level candidates with an educational background.
Professional and capable of estimating complex self-performed construction projects, including specialty cladding, commercial windows, new construction, rehab restoration, waterproofing, and structural strengthening.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing estimates by calculating data such as quantity take-offs, material prices, labor costs, and equipment costs using 'On Line Takeoff Software'.
- Defining scope of work and preparing comprehensive cost estimates for projects.
- Researching historical data and compiling reports to guide future estimates.
- Identifying sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- 5-12 years of estimating experience, preferably in concrete repair projects.
- Ability to estimate projects up to $10 million and mentor others in estimating.
- Skilled in evaluating specifications and working with construction contracts.
- Strong knowledge of the Northern California construction market, including current prices and key contacts.
- Experience in client relationship management and light business development.
- Proficiency in construction math, blueprints, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software.
- Willingness to travel 10-20%.
