We are a well-established construction firm of approximately 60 employees, recognized for delivering high-quality public projects including municipal, educational, and infrastructure developments. Our team is committed to excellence, safety, and long-term partnerships with our clients and communities. We are currently hiring a Senior Project Manager and an Associate Project Manager.

Position Overview:

The Project Managers will take a leadership role in overseeing all phases of complex public construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This individual will manage project teams, coordinate with public agencies, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. The role requires strong technical knowledge of public works construction, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of public construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, change orders, and cost controls to achieve financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with public bidding laws, prevailing wage requirements, and all applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and government representatives to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
  • Lead project teams, including superintendents, assistant project managers, and administrative staff, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, schedules, and financial updates to ownership and clients.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying risks, implementing solutions, and developing best practices for project delivery.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the company’s project management capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5–10+ years of progressive project management experience in construction, with significant experience in public works projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multimillion-dollar projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, change order processes, and cost management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • OSHA certification or commitment to obtain.
