JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Osage Beach, MO Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2025 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible Schedule COVERAGE DATES Starting 09/01/2025 Ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: 22% Pediatric, 5% OBGYN, 9% Trauma, 12% Geriatric Patient Volume/Census: 36K annual ED volume Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 35 ED beds Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center EMR System: Meditech & Dragon Specialty Backup Available: APPs work between Main ED & Fast Track Support Staff Available: APPs, Residents (moonlighting) Reason for Coverage:Supplemental PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES General emergency medicine procedures 64-Slice CT available JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Missouri license required Board: BE/BC in EM, FP, or IM (must have 3 years ER experience); ABEM preferred DEA: Required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS (required); PALS preferred Experience: Minimum 3 years ER experience for non-EM boarded physicians Other Qualifications: Experience with Meditech & Dragon preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency department coverage Participate in 12-hour shifts across flexible schedule Coordinate with APPs between Main ED and Fast Track Evaluate and manage a diverse patient population Accept moonlighting residents for coverage support Accurately document all care in EMR
