Bed count in department: 10
Deliveries per year: 450
Support staff includes 6 RNs and 1 PA/NP
No resident or teaching supervision required
Not required to supervise advanced practice providers
EMR: Athena & Meditech

Requirements
Board Eligible or Board Certified
Licensed in Virginia or IMLC
BLS
Fellowship - Preferred
Drive In Candidates - Preferred
Hospital privileging requires 100 deliveries and 50 gyn cases within the past 24 months.

Required Skills
Low-risk pregnancy management
FHR interpretation: NST/CST/FSE
Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Amniocentesis

OB ultrasounds:
Level I/Screening (viability)
Level II/Targeted (anatomic)

Routine delivery:
Vaginal
Low forceps
Decision-making for C-section

Complicated delivery:
C-section
Breech
Multiple births
Abruptions
VBACs

Surgical gynecology:
Open
Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOAs, chronal tubation)
Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
