Volunteer Food Rescue Drivers Needed!
PATH (People Assisting The Homeless), Los Angeles, California, United States, 90079
We are looking for eager volunteers to help us support our food rescue program and assist us with delivering much needed food support to our Interim and Permanent Supportive Housing sites. Please review the program details below and let us know if you are interested in getting involved.
Food Rescue Driver Volunteer Program
Food Rescue Driver volunteers will help our staff team to combat food insecurity by helping to bring much needed food resources directly to the communities that we serve. PATH partners with local food rescue agencies, grocery stores, and restaurants to rescue excess food and then distribute it to individuals and families that are food insecure.
Food Recue Drivers commit to a regularly scheduled weekly food rescue shift, where they are assigned a day and time to pick up food donations for delivery to a local PATH site. This position is ideal for individuals who would like to help support individuals and families impacted by homelessness, and at the same time help reduce food waste.
Shifts are currently available immediately to support our PATH sites in the Metro LA area. Please email us at PATHVolunteers@epath.org to learn more, or to sign up to get started as a Food Rescue Driver! Drivers must be 18 years of age or older.
