Event Manager

The Event Manager is responsible for coordinating a variety of events including Carolina Hurricanes and NC State Mens Basketball games, concerts, family shows, meetings, and special eventsboth indoor and outdoor. The role involves working closely with event representatives and venue staff to ensure successful event execution. Essential Job Functions
Manage relationships with touring representatives, promoters, meeting planners, vendors, and venue staff to plan and support all operational needs for events. Advance assigned events with designated representatives, sharing detailed information through written and verbal communication. Build event diagrams using AutoCAD to support ticket on-sales and stage setups. Plan events creatively to meet client needs while maintaining operational efficiency. Coordinate with venue staff and event personnel for setup, changeovers, and tear down, ensuring compliance with safety codes. Work flexible hours, including load-in/out, weekends, and holidays as needed. Manage multiple events and projects simultaneously with proficiency and meet deadlines. Support vendor relationships and ordering for event needs. Provide cost estimates and assist with billing and post-event reports. Ensure adherence to venue policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in relevant fields preferred; relevant experience may substitute. 3-5 years of experience as an Event Manager or similar role preferred. Knowledge of sports and entertainment event management. Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must pass a criminal background check. Hurricanes Holding, LLC reserves the right to modify duties.
