Overview
IT Program Manager, Infrastructure at Delta Air Lines. This role is part of the Cloud Application Modernization and Infrastructure team within the Reliability, Architecture, and Infrastructure Services for the Enterprise (RAISE) organization. You will lead transformation initiatives to modernize legacy infrastructure into logical and scalable environments, working with application portfolios, system integration vendors, and senior leadership to drive strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has strong executive communication skills, stakeholder management expertise, and a foundational understanding of infrastructure and networking. Guide strategic initiatives to migrate, modernize, and optimize applications and data centers. Deliver program outcomes within allocated budget and timeline constraints, ensuring successful delivery of projects aligned with business goals. Lead program governance functions including contract compliance, risk tracking and escalations, and change requests. Partner with leaders on transition strategies and manage cross-functional dependencies by collaborating with other leaders and staff to obtain information critical to the success of the program. Engage with senior leadership as an escalation point for major projects; prepare and present updates on progress, risks, and impact. Drive Agile adoption across initiatives and integrate agile principles into project workflows. Leverage baseline knowledge of networking, servers, and infrastructure at a strategic level. Oversee program managers and team members executing migrations, demonstrating urgency, flexibility, and responsiveness. Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to operate in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, performance-oriented environment, making autonomous decisions. What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in a related field, or commensurate experience 9+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud modernization, or large-scale program management in varied IT environments Proven experience leading complex infrastructure programs, including data center transformations and cloud migrations Strong executive communication skills, capable of presenting to senior leadership Ability to manage and direct project managers, ensuring alignment with broader program goals Experience navigating high-stress environments with multiple competing priorities Familiarity with Version1 Familiarity with enterprise networking and infrastructure concepts Demonstrated success in stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and organizational change Ability to coordinate teams, ensuring seamless program execution What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience in a large-scale enterprise environment (airline industry experience is a plus) Understanding of cloud technologies, hybrid infrastructure models, and application migration strategies AWS cloud experience is highly preferred Ability to translate technical concepts into strategic discussions with business leaders Proven success in navigating enterprise-wide change and high-pressure environments Benefits
