Equifax is seeking a creative, high-energy and driven Software Engineer with hands-on development skills to work on uplifting our current encryption libraries to support multiple language interoperability. Our software engineering positions provide you the opportunity to join a team of talented engineers working with leading-edge technology. To adhere to our corporate location policies , this resource will be local to the surrounding Atlanta, GA. You are required to adhere to our Return To Office (RTO) / weekly onsite requirements (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Deep understanding of cloud-native, distributed microservice-based architectures. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including product, business and sales partners. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to both simplify complex problems and also dive deeper if needed. Collaborate with architects, SRE leads and other technical leadership on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices. Manage cross-functional teams that include software, quality, reliability engineers, project managers and scrum masters. Mentor, coach and develop junior and senior software, quality and reliability engineers. Ensure compliance with Equifax secure software development guidelines and best practices and be responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs. Define, maintain and report SLA, SLO, SLIs meeting engineering standards in partnership with product, engineering and architecture teams. Drive technical documentation including support, end user documentation and run books. Lead sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and other team activities. Implement architecture decision making associated with product features/stories, refactoring work, and EOSL decisions. Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders, communicating with clarity and precision for a variety of audiences. Perform R&D, prototyping/PoC of cloud-native solutions. Design and develop cloud-native solutions, including big data processing with Dataflow/Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer/Airflow, and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes. Deploy and release software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines; understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm charts, and Terraform constructs. What Experience You Need
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 7+ years of software engineering experience 7+ years of experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS 7+ years of experience with Cloud technologies: GCP, AWS, or Azure 7+ years of experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions 7+ years of experience designing and developing microservices using Java, Spring Boot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes 7+ years of experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines; understanding infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform constructs What could set you apart
Strong background in identity provider (IdP) management and federated authentication solutions (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) Experience implementing controls that align with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) Self-starter who identifies and responds to priority shifts with minimal supervision Strong communication and presentation skills Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts Experience with big data processing solutions (Dataflow/Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer/Airflow, etc.) Experience with backend technologies such as JAVA/J2EE, Spring Boot, SOA and Microservices Source code control systems (e.g., SVN/Git, Github) and build tools like Maven & Gradle Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, XP) Atlassian tooling (JIRA, Confluence, Github) Developing with modern JDK (v1.7+) Automated Testing: JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, SoapUI Knowledge of RUST, Python, GO Seniority level
