Job Description
RUX is looking to grow our HR team with a Generalist who will focus on recruitment, talent acquisition, and HR operations responsibilities. This person will be excited to take on both recruiting and HR tasks in the day-to-day.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting & talent acquisition: Partner with managers on recruiting efforts, including job descriptions, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial screenings.
- Manage the employee lifecycle: Support & own the process of hiring new employees and managing departures, including offer letters, onboarding, I-9/E-Verify, exit interviews, and final pay.
- Administer benefits: Responsible for all benefits programs (health insurance, 401(k), open enrollment) for our team of approximately 50 people, globally distributed.
- Ensure compliance: Maintain accurate employee records and handbook policies, ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations. Handle compliance filings and reporting. Research and learn Canadian HR compliance.
- Support HR operations: Support employee inquiries, performance management processes, and help resolve employee relations matters with discretion.
- Improve processes & programs: Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement improvements to our HR programs and practices.
- Documentation: Build and maintain accurate HR documentation, policies, and programs, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Ad Hoc Projects: There will be numerous ad-hoc projects that arise as we expand and grow the business; this role will take on a variety of tasks regularly.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role;
- 1+ year of experience in recruitment/talent acquisition
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- A practical, hands-on understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Distributed, remote, global team experience
- Proactive problem solver who identifies problems and solutions.
- Self-learner, researcher, who truly enjoys new projects and tasks.
- Strong organizational abilities, with multi-tasking and accuracy.
- Rapport & relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of managing multiple roles simultaneously and maintaining accurate records.
- Familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and recruitment software (we use BambooHR).
