Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automation, monitoring, containerization, and cloud platforms to drive efficiency, reliability, and security across development and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS / Azure / GCP.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Ensure high system availability, scalability, and security across cloud and on-premise environments.
Monitor and troubleshoot performance, reliability, and security issues.
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate DevOps best practices into development workflows.
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of professional DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, etc.).
Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet).
Expertise in containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
Proficient in scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Functions).
Knowledge of configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, SaltStack).
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience in cost optimization and performance tuning in cloud environments.
Knowledge of Canadian data privacy and compliance standards (PIPEDA, SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).
Soft Skills:
