About the Role Purchasing Specialist Temp to Perm Full Time, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm Hourly Pay Range: $24-$28 Responsibilities Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services based on company requirements. Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Monitor and track order status, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any delays. Maintain supplier records and update purchasing databases. Communicate with vendors to confirm orders, negotiate pricing, and manage contracts. Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and coordinating replenishments. Work closely with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met. Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and processing payments with the finance team. Stay updated on market trends, supplier options, and cost-saving opportunities. Qualifications Must have at least an associate's degree. If candidates are jumpy, we need to provide the explanation for leaving their last roles. Required Skills 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate procurement of technical components and materials. Experience in sourcing materials and suppliers from international markets, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and optimizing cost efficiencies. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Experience with ERP or procurement software. Knowledge of supply chain and procurement best practices. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
