Our client is seeking a
Senior-Level Estimator
who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere. This role is essential to our preconstruction process, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. **They need someone with either estimating or pm experience from a builder or general contracting construction firm** Responsibilities: Analyze project plans, specifications, and proposals to develop detailed cost estimates Prepare material take-offs and labor estimates using person-hours, crews, and equipment Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring scope alignment and competitive pricing Create bid leveling sheets to compare vendor proposals and support informed decision-making Develop and submit complete bid packages in accordance with client timelines Attend job walkthroughs, pre-bid meetings, and proposal reviews Prepare RFIs and manage subcontractor prequalification processes Maintain historical cost data and recommend value engineering options Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients during preconstruction Present proposals effectively to clients and assess project risks Qualifications: Proven experience in construction estimating Strong analytical and organizational skills Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes Ability to work independently and as part of a team
